Wooden Drascombe

Name: 'Blue Zulu'

Type: Coaster

Builder: unknown

Owners: Ian & Erica Barclay

Quote from Ian Barclay:-

"Her provenance is patchy but invoices and other documentation date her circa 1980. Her construction is definitely odd - marine ply garboards and top strakes with oak strips in the bilge area in between. Stewart Brown has seen her and does not think she was built by any of known official Drascombe builders - there is no plate or ID on the hull either so bit of a mystery. The rig is a Bermudan yawl, boomed on both main and mizzen with alloy spars all of which scream 1980s vintage."
